Introduction
The student volunteer program is an exciting opportunity for students from around the world to associate with the top researchers and practitioners in software engineering. ICSE is the premier event in the software engineering arena. About a thousand attendees are expected. In return for at least twenty hours of time, student volunteers will receive a complimentary registration and other benefits. We invite students to get involved and contribute toward making ICSE a big success and an event to be remembered.
Benefits
As a student volunteer, you will receive various benefits:
- free conference registration
- free T-shirt
- free continental breakfasts
- free copy of conference proceedings
- possible attendance of one tutorial (not yet guaranteed)
- a whole lot of fun and new friends!
Scope
Student volunteers are expected to contribute at least 20 hours of help, during which conference activities such as paper sessions, exhibits, and tutorials, etc., may not be attended. In the past, volunteers have helped with:
- pre-conference preparation
- the information desk
- tutorials
- workshops
- the Window on the World (WOW) daily conference newsletter
- post-conference cleanup
The student volunteers chairs will coordinate the student volunteers and work as editors of the daily newsletter.
Student volunteers need to be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program at the time of the conference.
Signing Up
ICSE will require 38 volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please do the following:
- Send contact information and evidence of full-time enrollment to the address below.
